Steven is a partner emeritus (retired) with the international law firm Akin Gump and has represented and counseled numerous clients at the highest levels of government, business, and the non-profit world (including several educational institutions). Before entering private practice, Ross served as the general counsel of the U.S. House of Representatives, advising and representing its members, leadership, committees, and employees from both political parties. He also counseled the leadership and relevant committees on numerous congressional investigations. Ross founded the Barbara James Fund at ArtReach to honor his late wife’s love of arts education and teaching young people in their neighborhood.
