Meha has a background in Economics and has worked in the Education, Consulting and Energy industries. She is an avid hiker, gardener and cares deeply about the environment. She is currently working to help implement California’s SB 54 legislation to reduce single use plastic consumption in the state – especially at public K-12 schools.
Meha enjoys volunteering in her community and is committed to projects in her neighborhood schools. Most recently she become involved in an initiative to increase shade by planting trees in her neighborhood high school which is a shade desert. She also recently led and implemented a mural project at her daughter’s middle school, which was the first time in the school’s history where the middle schoolers got an opportunity to make art on their own school’s walls (https://mvmsptsa.org/mvmsmurals).
Meha feels deeply aligned with Art Reach’s mission to bring art and community to all San Diego youth: she first started volunteering to teach art in 2011 and has been a part of many art programs in the neighborhoods in which she has lived. In her spare time, Meha enjoys hiking with her dog, hanging out with her husband and three teenagers and attempting to paint watercolor landscapes.
