Marisol is a self-taught artist who finds art to be the purest form of expression. She spent most of her formative years traveling and living in different countries, learning from the cultures she was immersed in while nurturing her artistic skills. As a lover of nature, animals, books, and gardening; many of these themes are seen repeated throughout her artwork. She believes that through challenging ourselves and learning new skills, we can serve our higher purpose of understanding one another, ourselves, and the world we live in on a deeper level.

Spending many years as a teacher, she first merged her passions for art and teaching by working for non-profits that brought the arts to young people in at-risk communities. She has lived in San Diego for about 10 years while working as a guided painting instructor and enjoys helping others to discover the artist that resides inside each of us.
